Indiana State Nurses Association Partners with the Virtual Nursing Academy to Elevate Nursing Education and Practice in Indiana 

Indianapolis, IN — [September 2024] — The Indiana State Nurses Association (ISNA) is excited to announce a strategic partnership with the Virtual Nursing Academy (VNA) to advance nursing education and shift nursing care models across the state of Indiana. This collaboration is set to revolutionize nursing by leveraging the latest in on-demand education, ensuring nurses are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for today's dynamic virtual care environment. 

Through this partnership, the Virtual Nursing Academy will deliver innovative educational programs tailored to meet the needs of Indiana’s evolving nursing care models. This virtual nursing educational program will be accessible through the VNA’s cutting-edge online learning platform, enabling nurses to engage in high-quality virtual nursing education anytime and anywhere. 

Key Initiatives of the Partnership: 

1. Enhanced Continuing Education Opportunities: ISNA and VNA will offer continuing education courses designed to expand professional knowledge at a discounted ISNA member rate. The VNA course is designed to educate and enable organizations to develop, launch, and optimize their virtual care delivery models with a focus on strategy, staffing & operations, use cases, care models, outcome measures, governance and more.  
2. Webinars: Once enrolled in the course nurses across Indiana will have the opportunity to participate in interactive webinars, led by experienced virtual nurse coaches and industry experts. These sessions will focus on practical skills and emerging trends in nursing practice, fostering a community of learning and collaboration. 
3. Advocacy and Professional Development: Together, ISNA and VNA will advocate for the nursing profession, supporting nurse education, workforce development, and the overall well-being of nurses in Indiana. The partnership will also provide resources and tools for nurses to advance their careers and achieve their professional goals.
