This two-part advocacy series is designed to provide nurses and nursing students with flexible learning opportunities. While the sessions build on each other, participants are welcome to attend one or both parts regardless of prior experience. To accommodate diverse schedules, all registrants will have the option to join live to participate virtually or access the content on demand after the event.

Advocacy 101 - Foundations

This introductory course equips nurses with foundational advocacy skills to influence health policy, improve patient outcomes, and advance the nursing profession. Participants will learn key principles of advocacy, effective communication strategies, and practical steps to engage with legislators, professional organizations, and community stakeholders. Designed for nurses new to advocacy, this training emphasizes real-world applications and empowers participants to become confident voices for change.
