Join us for the 3rd Annual Nurses Day at the Statehouse – Pop In and Speak Up!

On Monday, December 8, from 1:00–4:00 PM, nurses and nursing students are invited to “pop in” to the Statehouse for an afternoon of advocacy and networking. This event is designed to help you set up meaningful conversations with legislators, share your perspective on key nursing initiatives, discuss potential legislation, and introduce yourself before the 2026 session begins. This is also a great opportunity to network with fellow nurse advocates across the state!

This is a drop-in networking event, not a formal education session. There is no structured program or classroom-style training—instead, the focus is on building relationships with legislators, sharing your perspective on nursing priorities, and preparing for the upcoming 2026 legislative session. The event will begin with a welcome (and a potential connection with a legislator) however participants can come and go as your schedule allows, enjoy a light snack, and take advantage of this opportunity to introduce yourself and advocate in a relaxed, conversational setting.

Due to the pace of the special session and tentative, not yet published calendar for the 2026 session, updates will be provided as they are available including key session initiatives.

Enjoy a popcorn snack, take part in impactful discussions, and help strengthen the voice of nursing in policy decisions!
