Interested in participating as an observer? ANA Board Operating Policy, 4.3 Closed, Executive, and Open Business Session Meetings of the ANA Board of Directors provides specific guidance on the ability of ANA members to participate in Open Business Sessions as outlined below:

·        Constituent RepresentativesPresidents, presidents-elect and executive directors of the Constituent and State Nurses Associations (C/SNAs) and the chair/co-chair of the Individual Member Division (IMD). These representatives have a standing invitation to observe Open Business Sessions and are not required to request permission to attend. However, representatives must confirm their participation by sending an email to leader@ana.org with their name, title, and affiliation by 11:59pm ET, one week prior to the ANA BOD Open Business Session.

·        Approved ObserversC/SNA-ANA members and IMD members. These members must request permission to observe Open Business Sessions and is subject to approval of the ANA President and/or the ANA Board of Directors. Members must submit observer requests to leader@ana.orgalong with their name, title, and affiliation by 11:59pm ET, one week prior to the ANA BOD Open Business Session.
